【英語なぞなぞ】子供も大人も楽しめる問題＆解説 -PART 31-
こどもたちが大好きな「なぞなぞ」は、英語ではriddle（s）といいます。
英語のなぞなぞで有名なものやおもしろいものをいくつか、解説付きでご紹介します。
1. Needs No Space
What can fill a room but takes up no space?
これで部屋をいっぱいにすることができる。でも場所は取らない。これは何？

Light.（灯り）
2. 3 Rooms
A murderer is condemned to death. He has to choose between three rooms. The first is full of raging fires, the second is full of assassins with loaded guns, and the third is full of lions that haven’t eaten in 3 years. Which room is safest for him?
死刑を言い渡された殺人犯。3つの部屋から1つを選ばなければならない。1つ目の部屋は激しく燃えている。2つ目の部屋には銃を装備した暗殺者がたくさん。3つ目の部屋には3年間絶食しているライオンでいっぱい。どの部屋が一番安全？
【答え】
The third room. Lions that haven’t eaten in three years are dead.
（3つ目の部屋。3年間何も食べていなライオンは生きているはずがない）
3. Cannot Put in
What can never be put in a saucepan?
鍋の中に絶対に入れられないものは何？
【答え】
Its lid.（蓋）
4. Everytime It Follows
What follows a dog wherever it goes?
犬がどこに行っても、ずっと付いてくるものは何？
【答え】
Tail.（しっぽ）
